Seban (not his real name) arrived at Baca in early 2018. He has fully engaged with all our activities since his arrival. He had only been at Baca a few weeks when we took the young people tobogganing. He loved it, and during the day he said to his support worker “everything is good for me, I like all the sports”. Seban’s support worker said that he “needs to be active he doesn’t like to sit still”. The sports activities have been really beneficial to Seban, not only taking his mind off missing his family and home, but also by participating in sports, he has subsequently found it easier to engage with the English classes, as he has more confidence.
