Salma (not her real name) moved on from Baca in the summer of 2019. Salma’s social worker said she was “very pleased with the positive steps Salma had taken towards independence. She has been a delight to work with and we are pleased that she has been able to move on to a place where she will continue to be supported, cared for and encouraged to progress”. She went on to comment that “Salma has a good level of independence, although there are still areas to work on. However we are confident she will continue to improve her level of life skills and cope well with her increased independence.
